when we connect with our creative energy, we connect to our deepest truths.

Creative Coaching

supporting your creative journey by connecting you with your true inner self

Sessions with Rye will support you in challenges you face as an artist, by:

  • clearing the way for deeper personal meaning within the confines of capitalism

  • navigating the pain, difficulties, and emotional layers of your present day life

  • connecting your past creative experiences to your current feelings and behaviors

  • exploring your highest truths, values, and dreams

  • building the life that you deserve and is meant for you, step by step

Rye's work of helping clients deepen connection to their true selves with creative coaching is heavily informed by their background as a music psychotherapist, as well as by their personal experiences as a musician and creative being.  Through the lens of acknowledging that we are all deeply creative and spiritual beings, they help clients gain clarity around life themes they may be navigating as an artist.  Themes may include life transitions, gender and sexuality, sobriety, relationships, desires, and dreams.  Rye acknowledges that our creativity is inherently intertwined with our humanness, and it is impossible to compartmentalize the two.

This work often centers on re-defining stubbornly engrained self-beliefs, nurturing the sacred inner-child/inner-parent relationship, and developing unconditional love, gentleness, and compassion towards your True Inner Self.

who is creative coaching for?

The people that I support usually fall into one of two categories, or most often, a mix of both:

  • Artists who are seeking support with their art.  This includes people searching for accountability, motivation, support navigating challenges with particular projects or goals, expansion of creative processes, as well as guidance in working through creative blocks, which are often connected to deep and complex layers of grief and other emotional wounds.  I work with musicians, writers, actors, dancers, filmmakers, visual artists and performers of all kinds.

  • Creative people who are seeking a stronger connection with themselves and their creativity.  This includes people who may or may not be actively pursuing their art, who move through the world creatively - or would like to do so more.  I work with young adults stepping into their own, people who may be wanting to re-connect with their creativity after years away, as well as seasoned creatives who are struggling with certain areas in their life, related to art or not.

what to expect:

My work is holistic, meaning I view you as a human with many complex and intricate parts - rather than a type of person that can be easily categorized.  My work is also humanistic, meaning I guide intuitively, trusting that you - in your deepest being - already know what is best for your life.  My work is trauma-informed, meaning I don't make assumptions and I understand the wide ranging impacts of trauma, both personal and systemic. Helping you find and follow your own Inner Guidance is my goal in helping you embody your truest, most authentic self.

In sessions with me, you can expect:

  • nonjudgemental, unconditional positive regard for you

  • trust that you are the one and only one who knows what is best for your life

  • support finding insights and clarity in complicated experiences

  • talk-focused support:

    • parts work, inner-child communication, challenging limitations, questioning, reframing, encouragement and goal setting

  • use of creative supports, driven by your interests and curiosities:

    • creative writing, music prompts, drawing, meditation, Reiki, tarot & oracle reading, & whatever else your inner artist seeks.

Important:

It is important to note that although I have a background as a music psychotherapist and hold a master's degree in this field, I am a coach, not a licensed therapist.   While my work is informed by my psychotherapy background, I do not provide therapy and I do not treat diagnoses.  I am happy to help you find therapy or counseling support if you express need or if I sense there may be additional support needed for your healing.

pricing:

My rate for a 50 minute session is $150.00.  I recommend weekly support for consistency and grounding, but I am always happy to work with clients in the frequency that feels right for them.  Other frequencies I offer are bi-weekly and monthly (for broader creative check-in support).

If you are interested in support and my rate feels out of reach for you, please let me know.  I use a self-assessment that offers clients in need of financial support reduced rates. I am also able to help clients navigate financial barriers by scheduling sessions at a lower frequencies.

Thank you for your bravery & vulnerability in exploring your True Inner Self with me by your side.

"Working with Rye to forge a stronger connection with my creativity has felt like returning home or catching up with an old friend. From the very first session, they helped me feel safe and valid in wanting to embrace my artistic expression. Rye's gentle guidance and support have empowered me to rediscover the playful joy of creating art just for myself, free from the pressures of productivity, social norms, or my own hangups. It feels like I'm awakening a part of myself that has been quiet for much of my adult life and I'm incredibly grateful to have Rye by my side as I continue my journey."

"Working with Rye was a great experience! They were clearly knowledgable and passionate about helping others find their voice. I was VERY nervous but Rye never made me feel judged - the environment is super encouraging and that really helped me push to do my best."

"Rye is an incredible support I would highly recommend them for ANY modality of art support bc they find a way to meet you where you are and have a lot of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for various art forms. I went to Rye for blockages in my expression due to shame and emotional injuries and each session they listened, shared their own experience (incredible musician and artist btw), gave me applicable exercises and mantras, and shared references to their knowledge. I left each session feeling like I combed through a knot."

"When I first started working with Rye, I was very unsure of my goals, my abilities, and myself as an artist. I wasn’t creating what I wanted because I was too stunted by fear and shame from engrained trauma. This style of coaching has been life-changing for me. Using inner child healing tools, I’ve grown into a more confident artist and human being. I’ve been able to identify what creativity means for me in my life, how I want to grow as an artist, and new mediums of creativity that I didn’t see as options for myself before. I was feeling hopeless and lost, like a person with no options, but with Rye’s help, I’ve been able to broaden my scope and create new paths for myself. I would strongly recommend this coaching program to anyone who wants to explore new avenues of creativity, set creative goals, or grow artistically with someone gentle and encouraging. I owe a huge thank you to Rye for helping me get this far, and I’m so excited to see more of my visions come to life."

"These sessions have allowed me go from zero worked shared for over a year to consistently creating and releasing music again. Rye has helped me get to a place where I’m creating my best work, and best of all, has helped me to be kind to myself while I create it. I genuinely can’t recommend them enough"
